coding

Since the past couple of day we have been learning about coding and we have been making a coding handbook and in that book we have been putting words in it about coding and we found the definitions for them and these are some of the words programmer – a person who writes computer code and programs algorithm – a set of steps that are followed IN ORDER to solve a problem loop – a part of a computer program that repeats the same steps over and over again .

the raining orientating

Today we went orienteering in  my group I had Lila Zara and immy. We where looking for 342 the whole time and 2b but when we where looking for 2b it looked like a zb so we Kept looking at the map and it said the place that we kept going to but it was a z instead of 2.  At the end we just went there and it  truned out to be right.

The last one we did was in the forest it was hard! When we had 3 markers to stamp we had to go back because it was raining. When we got back undercover we had to wait for the bus we played number hangman. Then we where back at school.

Tactile bank notes
Conner is a 13 year old boy he is blind so he can’t see many things.
Conner has been blind since he was born he learnt how to read Braille since he was 3.
It is very hard for Conner to read money he was thinking and said why does Canada have Braille on there notes and Australia don’t so he said to the reserve bank of Australia and said to them can you see if you can make money with Braille on it.
The online petition got 57,000 signatures and that was more then they expected so the reserve bank of Australia said yes so now some money has Braille on it so people that are blind like Conner can see how much money he has made a big difference doing this.

Going around the light house

Wow we’re at the spilt point light house, it’s sooooo tall.
Before we went up the light house the lady that was taking us for a tour she was telling us about the light house. First the other group went to the light house and we went with Mrs walker to the coffee place. It was an old building that used to be a house.
Then we had to draw a picture of the view of the ocean there where HUGE rocks and the waves where crashing together. At the bottom of the rocks we saw a little cave.
We wanted to go and see the little house near the light house but it was private property. Finally the other group came out of the light house we went in on the first floor it was so so so hot . We walked to the top of the light house we went outside on the top it was scary cause it was windy. Then we went back in the light house . We had to count how much steps there was in the light house there was 136 steps . Then we were back at camp and had afternoon tea.
